The website
We aim for level AA of the WCAG 2.2 guidelines. The website works with a keyboard, with a visible focus. We aim for a text contrast of at least 4.5:1, and body text is at least 16 px. Photographs have text descriptions. Motion stops when your device asks for less of it, and any moving video has a pause button. The request form has visible labels and works without JavaScript, without a CAPTCHA and without a time limit. The Vlach names and quotations in other languages are marked with their language for screen readers.
What we haven’t solved yet
We tested the website on 25 October 2026, on a computer and a phone, with automated checks (axe) and with a keyboard. We are fixing what we found; until then, the following applies.
The maps, contour lines and the route profile are graphics; every distance, time and height difference is also given as text in the list or table beside them. In a few places, small labels on maps and photographs may fall below a contrast of 4.5:1; the same information is always given as text too. Some photographs don’t yet carry the date they were taken. Links to Google, Booking.com and other websites open pages we don’t control.
The house
From the lane, stone steps lead down into the paved courtyard. We’ll add here how many steps lead to each suite, which level it is on and how wide the doors are once we have measured them; until then, ask us and we’ll answer precisely. The village is built on a slope, with narrow cobbled lanes: to the square, 180 m away, the way climbs about 15 m. If you need anything in particular, tick “Accessibility” in your request.
