06 THE NAMES

Why Vlach names

  1. Úna1 · “one”
  2. Duáo2 · “two”
  3. Tréi3 · “three”
  4. Pátru4 · “four”

The suites are named after the Aromanian (Vlach) numbers one to four, still heard in Metsovo. Their story, and why we spell it Duáo, is on the house page.
