Averoff Garden

A garden of Pindus plants around the little church of Agios Georgios. Georgios Averoff prayed here in 1840 before leaving Metsovo, and never came back. It has a playground, which makes it a good first walk with children.

In the same Agios Georgios quarter stands the Ai-Giorgis fountain, given by Averoff in 1889. For guests in Pátru, the playground is 510 metres from the gate.

A museum of 19th- and 20th-century Greek painting, open since 27 August 1988, with more than 700 works; about 250 hang permanently, from Gyzis and Lytras to Parthenis, Ghikas, Moralis and Tetsis.
