Tositsa Mansion

A real Metsovo mansion, first built in 1661 and a museum since 1955, with its textiles, furniture and costumes. Visits are by guided tour every half hour, and the third floor holds Evangelos Averoff's apartment.

In the late 1950s Evangelos Averoff planted what the winery calls Greece's first Cabernet Sauvignon here.

Tip: Open daily 10:00–16:00, last tour at 15:00.

The Metsovo table

Metsovo cooking rests on pies, 'the triumph of Vlach cooking' as Wace and Thompson wrote in 1914, with leek pie counted as the Metsovo pie, and on roast meat.
