Greece's newest ski area opened in 2012 and runs from 1,680 to 1,850 metres, 7 km from the Anilio exit of the Egnatia motorway. It is being upgraded with EU Recovery Fund money; a new six-seat chairlift and snowmaking were announced for 2025–26. Besides downhill and snowboarding there is cross-country, ski touring, a sledging slope and a ski school.

WHO IT SUITS

  • families with children: sledging and ski school
  • beginner and intermediate skiers
  • anyone who just wants a walk in the snow and a hot drink at the chalet

PRACTICAL

It opens when there is snow: in 2025 the Chamois chalet opened on 20–21 December, and on 2 January 2026 the pistes and lifts were running. 2025–26 prices: an all-lifts day pass was €25 at weekends, on holidays and from 22 Dec to 7 Jan, €20 on weekdays; sledging €10 an hour; a ski lesson €30 an hour for one person. Carry snow chains.

A CAVEAT

Opening depends on snow each season; prices are 2025–26 and may change without notice.
