WHERE
Milia

Milia, 'Ameru' in Vlach, is the municipality's only village inside the Pindus National Park and a village of woodcarvers; it has a folk museum and, 3 km outside, the Boulouvaros waterfalls. In Anthochori, the open-air Water-Power Museum shows watermills, fulling tubs and water-driven hammers among cobbled paths and small bridges, with a café.

WHO IT SUITS

  • families: waterfalls on a 100-metre path, watermills
  • anyone looking for woodcarving straight from the maker

PRACTICAL

In August both villages have a programme: a week of events in Milia leading up to the 15 August feast, and in Anthochori open-air cinema, a morning walk and a weaving workshop (2026). The Water-Power Museum publishes no opening hours. On 1–2 January Milia holds its New Year masquerade.

A CAVEAT

No opening hours were found for the Milia folk museum or the Water-Power Museum.
